Flying across the world with our family for a month-long “immersion program” was exciting and scary. We wanted to learn Spanish from a local teacher in Spain, and Yolanda was a perfect fit for our family. She is an excellent communicator, and she spent time asking about our goals and expectations before we arrived so she could create an itinerary that would best serve our family.
When we met, our young daughters (ages 8, 9, 12) were quickly engaged because of her fun and creative personality. Yolanda filled our flat with laughter. The girls still talk about the Spanish song she taught them as she sang and danced. From the 9-year-old, “Yolanda makes learning Spanish fun. I loved learning animales with finger puppets. It was fun drawing houses and people to learn the words.” Our daily city tours introduced us to the Spanish culture that we wouldn’t have gotten without Yolanda’s time and influence.
