About me

My name is Yolanda. I am a professional Spanish teacher. I was born and live in San Sebastian-Donostia, on the north coast of Spain. This is the Cantabrian Coast near the border with France. This region is known as the Basque Country. The world-famous "Camino de Santiago" passes through here.

I have 18+ years of experience teaching Spanish to students of all nationalities and ages at a renowned international school here in San Sebastian-Donostia. Since June 2018 I am teaching individual and group classes to students from all over the world in person in San Sebastián-Donostia and online using Skype. This is "Spanish with Yolanda."

I love my job. It allows me the opportunity to meet people from different cultures, professions, and lifestyles. This fuels my passion for teaching and sharing the beautiful language and culture of Spain. In my lessons, I take advantage of my experience and knowledge acquired after many years of study. I have a degree in Fine Arts and trained as a Gestalt art therapist. I am currently doing training in “Integrative Bioenergetics: Character and Enneagram”

My goal is to create a comfortable learning experience by understanding the needs and goals of each student. Individual classes here in San Sebastian, or in the comfort of your home via Skype, will allow me to adapt my teaching method to the needs of each student. This has proven to be the best way to develop the skills you need to begin speaking the rich Spanish language with confidence.
